Enabling Customer Portal Access
For Individual Customers
- Navigate to Customers
- Open customer detail
- Go to Settings tab
- Enable Portal Access
- Configure portal permissions
- Save
For Individual Contacts
- Open customer detail
- Go to Contacts tab
- Select contact
- Enable Portal Login
- Enter contact email (used for login)
- Click Send Invitation

- Open customer detail
- Go to Settings tab
- Find Portal Permissions section
- Enable/disable each permission
- Save

First-Time Setup
When you send a portal invitation:- Contact receives email invitation
- They click the activation link
- They create a password
- They can now log in to the portal

Portal access is available at:https://portal.yourdomain.com(custom domain)https://app.taskr.com/portal/your-company(default)
Password Reset
If a customer forgets their password:- They click Forgot Password on login page
- Enter their email address
- Receive reset link via email
- Create new password
- Open contact detail
- Click Reset Portal Password
- Customer receives new password link
Service Requests
How Customers Submit Requests
From the portal, customers can:- Click Request Service
- Select location
- Describe the issue
- Add photos (optional)
- Choose preferred timing
- Submit request
Managing Incoming Requests
When a request is submitted:- Notification sent to your team
- Request appears in Jobs > Requests
- Review request details
- Convert to job or contact customer
- Customer notified of status
Request to Job Workflow
- Open the service request
- Review customer details
- Click Convert to Job
- Add scheduling and assignment
- Confirm and save
- Customer sees job in portal
Quote Approval
How Customers Approve Quotes
- Customer receives quote notification
- They log in to portal
- Navigate to Quotes
- Review quote details and pricing
- Click Approve or Decline
- Add comments (optional)
- Submit response
Approval Notifications
When a customer approves a quote:- Your team receives notification
- Quote status updates to Approved
- Job can be scheduled
- Customer confirmation sent
- Your team receives notification
- Quote status updates to Declined
- Customer comments visible
- Follow-up can be scheduled
Invoice and Payments
Viewing Invoices
Customers can see:- Invoice number and date
- Line items and totals
- Payment due date
- Payment status
- Download PDF option
Online Payments
If enabled, customers can:- View outstanding invoice
- Click Pay Now
- Enter payment details
- Confirm payment
- Receive receipt
- Credit/debit card
- Bank transfer
- Saved payment methods

Configure payment options:- Go to Settings > Payments
- Enable Portal Payments
- Connect payment processor
- Set accepted payment methods
- Configure surcharges (if applicable)

- Upload document to Vault
- Select customer or job
- Enable Share with Customer
- Document appears in customer portal

Troubleshooting
Customer Cannot Log In

Possible causes:- Permissions not enabled
- Data linked to different customer record
